5 WHAT’S GROWING GREEN ON THE TEACHER SCHEDULE PAGE???  Class Period  Start and End Times of Class  Full Year or Semester Class  Course ID  Course Section  Course Name  Room Number  Course Load (number of students scheduled) Roster Attendance Gradebook Interims Grades Seating Chart

6 Clicking on Roster will give you access to your class roll, student name, student ID number, grade, cluster code if used, guidance counselor and any alerts whether medical or generic.

7 Clicking on an individual student will give you additional info about the student and also contact info.

8 Click on the homeroom number for Daily Attendance Daily Attendance

9 Posting Daily Attendance YTD Abs are Year to Date Absences YTD Tdy are Year to Date Tardies Defaults to present- use the drop down to change to absent The background turns red when you post an absence Click submit to post attendance

10 Click on Attendance link You will post class period attendance the same as daily attendance but each class period must be submitted separately during that class period. Posting Class Period Attendance

11 The Gradebook Click on Gradebook to access the Teacher Gradebook

12 Drop down to switch from quarter to quarter Links to move from one class to another-this feature is available at the bottom of each page in the grade book Categories link-create categories for each quarter Assignments link-create assignments for each quarter Valid Grades link-the valid grades are set up through Star_Student The GO button refreshes your grade book screen Student Names Gradebook prior to assignments being entered The scroll bar to see all students will become active after you have entered your categories and the first assignment

13 Entering Categories Select appropriate quarter- Categories for previous marking periods can not be changed Enter Category Code Enter Category Description Use drop down to choose percentages or total points Select appropriate weight per category-Percentages must equal 100 Total points can also use categories for report purposes-each category may be set at 100 You can choose to drop the lowest grade- You can wait until the end of the quarter to choose this option. The Valid Grade Table is set to default Click on category link on gradebook page

14 After you enter your categories-click submit-you will receive a transaction complete message The categories can now be copied to another marking period or all marking periods and then copied to another class or all classes

15 Click on assignment link on gradebook page 1.Select Quarter 2.Enter Assignment Date-there is a calendar picker beside the date to use if you choose 3.Display Order is automatic 4.Points Value of Assignment 5.Category of Assignment 6.Assignment Description 7.Identify if Extra Credit 8.Extra Point Value of Assignment 9.Click Submit 10.Copy Assignments 1 234567 8 9 10

16 Gradebook after an assignment has been added Various reports that can be printed either by class or student Gradebook by Class Student Progress Report Missing Assignments And Special Feature - Autofill Extra Points You will have to refresh the screen by clicking the GO button to pull in the newly added assignment-you are now ready to enter scores for this assignment

17 Gradebook after assignments and grades have been added 1.Cumulative numerical average 2.This school is all numerical. Alpha would otherwise display. 3.Extra points is a numerical value. 4.Assignment Grade of Students 5.Click “Submit” to SAVE your gradebook 1234 5

18 The teacher can enter a comment that only the parent can see through the parent portal in reference to a grade the student earned-the grade will turn red in the gradebook after the comment has been entered and submitted. The comment can also be removed by the teacher at any time.

19 Scroll to the right under the student name and you can enter a note that will appear on the student progress report.

20 The interim grades will populate after the gradebook is submitted while the posting window is open for interims. Select the appropriate comments for : recommendations, commendations and deficiencies. You can add your own comments in the notes section. Click Submit Click on the Interim link to submit grades for the interim. You can run a verification sheet of the interim grades. Interim Time!!!

21 Report Card Time!!!!!!!! You can submit comments and grades from the grade book for report cards unless you need to enter an alternate grade- Scroll to the right under the student names and enter the appropriate comment numbers for the report card. Click submit

22 If you need to enter an alternate grade- CLICK on the grades link- The report card grades will populate when you submit the grade book while the posting window is open-enter your comments and submit for the report card You can print verification sheets of your report card grades

23 Click on Seating – you have the ability to create a seating chart that fits your needs-you can move desks and students to mimic your room. Seating Chart
