2 What do we mean by homeless people? This presentation deals with homeless people as those: 1/ who sleep outdoors and with no single physical abode, or 2/ who are temporarily roofed at night by Non- Government Organisations. How do homeless people deal with hazards and disasters?

3 Which hazards for what disaster? “One of the worst things about sleeping rough in winter is being wet all the time. My feet get infected because my shoes and socks are always wet - my feet smell and I am ashamed.” (Auckland City Mission, 2013)
