4. Snacks  Everyday we will be giving your child a short break to eat a healthy snack in the morning.  Please be conscious that there are students with peanut and tree nut allergies in our classroom.

5. Homework  All graded work will be sent home to be signed and returned in the test folder. Keep in the left pocket.  Please sign your child’s homework book each night after you have checked to make sure it was completed.  Honest Effort  Homework should never be a hassle. It is reinforcement. Send in a note if there are problems.  Reading: 15 minutes Monday-Thursday-Log  Math: Math ws. Monday-Thursday  Science/Social Studies: Occasional Homework  Homework is checked and 15% of the grade.

9. Intervention/Enrichment  Students will be receive a 30 minute intervention or enrichment in subjects 5 days a week.  This is an opportunity to reteach or challenge our students.  All grades and All elementary schools in Bensalem are doing it this year.

10. Trivia Question  Given on Friday  Due on Monday  Opportunity to work with your child on internet research skills  Please do it with them to monitor content and discuss validity of websites  They should write the answer in their homework books
