3.  Formed around 1945  Type of militia that fought against the British  Named ‘Minute Men’ because it was said they were ready for battle in a minute’s notice  Fought the Battle of Lexington until militia reinforcements arrived  Most minute men went to join the full militia  Volunteer army

4.  Wore farmers or work clothes into battle  Used fowling pieces or rifles  Most of their weapons did not include bayonets like the British  Were not trained for battle  Most were used to irregular fighting from frontier hunting
