3 History initiated pilot in Sept 2009 ran v1.2 – pretty poor, lots and lots of bugs in 2010 moved to trunk, better but lots of bugs but very popular – course evaluations – public surveys – data gathering (dietary requirements, home addresses) weblearn.ox.ac.uk

4 Configuration no hierarchy, so no top-down evaluations maintainers can create surveys & view results show My Scales etc but NOT Question Banks no default reminders CSV, XLS, PDF export We still use this config weblearn.ox.ac.uk

5 Current Status in production as a Beta, – still has bugs mostly minor – may be more bugs with different configurations – a few unimplemented features – remove results – reused custom email templates 750 surveys have been commissioned one of the most popular tools weblearn.ox.ac.uk

6 Our New Features All will be part of v1.4: view results of open surveys cannot ask non account holders to login simplified setup of public surveys all roles may take survey weblearn.ox.ac.uk

7 Future Improvements FIX MORE BUGS! shared template authoring shared survey administration email template reuse easy assignment to site sub-groups “lecturer questions”: remove / add individuals paginate My Surveys weblearn.ox.ac.uk

8 Summary v1.3 is good but could be better big improvements in the last 6 months very popular with departments colleges administrators researchers deployment at Oxford was a big success weblearn.ox.ac.uk
