Note OTHER category 9 - 3000 level credits to graduate But, 10 - 3000 level credits for MUN All courses in Course Descriptor Booklet indicate the category it satisfies.

5 Holy Spirit High School - Level I Course Offerings 2008-2009 7 5 Courses vs Credits All courses are followed by a four digit number: First digit First digit = level when course is generally taken: Art 1 201 = first year English 3 201 = third year Second digit = number of credits the course is worth: Phys. Ed. 2 1 01 = 1 credit French 2 2 00 = 2 credits Science 1206 = __ credits A student takes 14 CREDITS not 14 courses per year!

9 Holy Spirit High School - Level I Course Offerings 2008-2009 7 9 French Immersion Designation Students enrolled in the French Immersion program must meet at least minimum graduation requirements and attain six (6) credits in Français courses plus six (6) other credits in courses studied in French. Successful completion will be indicated on the diploma as FRENCH IMMERSION DESIGNATION.

All students must complete (8) credits in Language as part of the required 36 for graduation. At least (6) credits must be in CORE English. Students will need to obtain at least one Optional English course (i.e. 1200, 2203, 2200) or complete a French course.

Speaking and listening, Reading and Viewing, Writing and Representing Expectations: Students must accept responsibility and assume ownership for their own learning. There are many assignments involved in this course. Followed by English 2201 and 3201 [MUN].

Integrated Technology Systems 1205 is an introductory course to technological problem solving, employing the use of computers and external control systems designed by students. There is much room for creativity and there is a strong emphasis placed upon ‘design team work’ and ‘creative problem solving’. Integrated Technology 1205
