3 CARBOHYDRATES & FATS CARBOHYDRATES: Provides ENERGY for the muscles. Stored energy for long- term use. e.g. Pasta, Potatoes, Rice Or – Cakes, Sugar, Fruit FATS: Provides ENERGY, increases SIZE and WEIGHT. Short-term energy. Lead to high cholesterol e.g. Cheese, butter, chocolate.
