Life is too short to worry about the little things! By being a teacher I choose to be in the public eye and to be a positive role model. Though I am far from perfect, I will strive to live my life well to the fullest with no regrets. I will strive to treat each person I come across with respect and dignity regardless of how they may view or treat me. My Code: Mission Statement

I will be honest I will base my thoughts and actions on my religious belief I will not carry anger from one person / group to another I will not worry about the small stuff I will be fair and unbiased in my grading I will be honest with all my students regardless of consequences I will give everyone a fair chance and will give them an optimistic second chance I will not judge on superficial items I will strive to leave all the places I go to a better place I, (P. Kato), will use the following Code of Ethics as a guide to good choices:

I will smile everyday I will not look at names whenever possible when I am grading I will respect and talk with my students and colleagues I will not whine and complain when things don’t go my way I will remember that appearances do not say who the person is and that high school is a time of growth and change where a person is not the same one day to the next I will find something to laugh at every hour and go home to my family realizing I am lucky to have them, and my life. How I will do it

1.Get to know yourself 1.Ask others to give a fair analysis of you 2.Create a pro / con list of yourself 2.What would you like to change about yourself? 3.Develop an ethics mission statement 4.Develop a list of values 5.Explain how you will accomplish / stick to your values 6.Create penalties or actions for failing What you will do – Write your own code

A code of ethics should be tailored to the needs and values of your organization / you. Red Cross FedEx Microsoft Many ethics codes have two parts –Inspirational: outlines ideals it hopes to live up to –Rules or principles: everyday steps to follow –Often have Enforcement: way to keeping one accountable The ordering does not matter, but first listed usually are more important How / when will your code be reviewed / revised? Things to think of when writing your code
