7. Apps ▧ Applications and websites that open directly in your browser. ▧ Can be found when you open a new tab. What’s The Difference Extensions ▧ Tools that run in the background. ▧ Can be found on the right side of your browser toolbar.

8. Log In To Chrome Logging in to Chrome allows you to save and access your bookmarks, settings, apps, and extensions across multiple devices. Access through the settings on Chrome.

11. Extensity (X) Extensity is my most useful extension. It gives a quick and easy access to all of the installed extensions and allows me to turn them on or off with one click.

12. AdBlock (X) I hate ads on websites, especially when students are researching. AdBlock removes all types of ads from webpages. AdBlock even removes ads from YouTube videos!

13. OneTab (X) OneTab is great for tab junkies like me. With one click it will consolidate your open tabs into a single page - which you can then share as a webpage!

14. Save To Google Drive (X) Quickly save images or entire webpages to your Google Drive. Be sure to right click on the icon and go into settings to change the format for webpages. I recommend saving as a Google Doc.

15. Data Saver (X) Data Saver is an extension that compresses webpages to save bandwidth. This is a great tool if you have monthly data limits, or just want pages to load a little faster. It is currently in Beta.

16. Reading & Writing Tools

17. Readability (X) Clear the clutter from webpages for an easier reading experience. Change font, size, margins, and contrast. Export files as.ePub

18. Google Dictionary (X) Highlight a word and click for definition. Many words also have audio pronunciation.

19. Beeline Reader (X) Apply a gradient to text to make following the lines easier. Also allows you to enable OpenDyslexic Font.

20. EasyBib (X) The easiest way to cite webpages and articles. Collect citations into projects on the Easybib website.

21. Padlet Mini (X) Padlet as a bookmarker. Create pages and easily bookmark collaboratively.

22. Webpage Sticky Notes (X) Add sticky notes to any webpage. Notes remain even if you leave the page and come back later.

32. Mic Note (A) Superb for students who struggle with note taking. Records audio as you enter any type of notes, then playback any section of the audio with your notes. Free 30 day trial with 45 mins per note, $7.99 for pro version.

33. Dictanote (A) Another speech to text app. Simple to use Dictate text into word processing window

34. Write Space (A) The simplest word processor there is. No distractions, no tools, just white on black text for ease of typing. Text can be copied and pasted into other programs.

35. Newsela (A) Newsela publishes daily news articles at 5 reading levels from grades 3–12 to drive gains in literacy.

36. Speech Pad (A) A useful speech to text tool. Many options, including transcription of audio and video files.

37. Turn Off The Lights (X) Watch web videos without distractions. With a single click on the lamp button, the page will fade to dark. And automatically focus on the video. By clicking on it again, the page will return to normal.

39. Goo.gl (X) Easily shorten those long URLs! Case sensitive links, includes statistics for links and a QR code.

40. SnagIt (X) Fantastic tool from TechSmith. Take and annotate screenshots, and also record video/audio from your screen. Great for flipping the classroom.

41. 1-Click Timer (X) A quick and easy timer right in your browser.

42. iChrome New Tab (X) Customize your Chrome New Tab Page with tons of customizable widgets.
