Objectives -Students Shall gain a richer concept of culture. -Students will know how to prepare at least one meal from the culture they have selected. -Students will learn greeting phrases from a different language in their culture. -Students will have a better understanding of budgeting. -Students will Engage in fun activities and have a blast!!!

3. Choosing your Culture You should choose a culture that is appropriate as well as interesting to you!!! Make sure you will be able to gather enough information

4. Researching Look For these Points 1.Geographic Location 2.Beliefs 3.Dress 4.Music 5.Festivals 6.Holidays 7.Language 8.Other interesting facts *Make sure to use a valid source for your information, and always keep a bibliography of where you have pulled info! *NO Plagerism

5. Selecting a traditional dish When selecting a Dish… 1. Make sure it is feasible to cook. 2. Make sure it taste good! 3. Make sure you can make enough for 10 servings

6. Learning Phrases Know how to say these in the language of your culture… 1.Hello 2.How are you today? 3.Thank you and goodbye 4.Anything that you find interesting. I.E. In Spanish 1.Hola 2.Como Estas Hoy? 3.Gracias y que tengas un buen dia.

7. Cooking Skills You don’t have to be an expert chef!!! If you need help ask for it, don’t be afraid, I'm sure mom or dad will be more than glad to help you. Cook the dish at least once before you just make it an try it in to work out the quirks.

8. You don’t want all of this hard work that you have been putting in to not get you a good grade Safety Tips 1. Don’t Drop your food on the way to the Banquet 2. Do not do anything malicious to the food 3.Be able to give the ingredients incase someone is allergic 4.Make sure your food is Tasty*, meaning it is edible, not too hot, not disgusting!!!

9. You May Preform a Dance routine! Dress up in clothing traditional to your culture! Sing a Song! Or anything else that you can think of that would be fun and appropriate. *please notify me on what you plan to do for extra credit

10. Good Luck With The Project Remember to have a blast children, if you go into this project looking at it as another assignment than the end will not be as great as it could have if you just relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed each step of the process!
