Per Florida Statutes Chapter 163.3191(1), “at least once every 7 years, each local government shall evaluate its comprehensive plan to determine if plan amendments are necessary to reflect changes in state requirements in this part since the last update of the comprehensive plan, and notify the state land planning agency as to its determination”. Statutory Deadline – February 1, 2014 Evaluation and Appraisal Letter Submitted to Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) on January 13, 2014 Florida Statutes further requires per Chapter 163.3191(2) that “if the local government determines amendments to its comprehensive plan are necessary to reflect changes in state requirements, the local government shall prepare and transmit within 1 year such plan amendment or amendments for review pursuant to s. Chapter 163.3184”. Windborne policy based on Florida Building Code Evaluation and Appraisal Comprehensive Plan Amendments

6. Coastal High Hazard Area based on 2013 Regional Evacuation Study *All other areas are not in the Coastal High Hazard Area

Staff and the Planning and Land Development Regulation Board (PLDRB) recommend that the City Council approve the transmittal of the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendments to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.
