4 Referees and Umpires Refs need to have different qualities to fulfil this role: Physical Stamina – to keep up with pace of the game Good eyesight – to enforce rules correctly Speed – to get quickly into position to see the action Personal Knowledgeable- of the rules of the game Unbiased – to be fair Confidence – to keep control of match

9 Safety Rules : Protection A game of hockey cannot begin unless a goalkeeper is wearing a helmet and faceguard. They are made of a tough polycarbon shell and come with faceguard attached.

10 Safety Rules : Protection Goalkeepers wear pads over their legs, and because they use their feet to kick and stop the ball, they also have to wear protective footgear over their boots, called kickers.

17 Rules : Fair play Sport involves equal and fair challenges People and teams which break the rules are banned from competitions

18 Long Jump Athletes sprint down a long runway and at the white line, jump into a sand pit. The aim is to jump as far as possible - the winner will be the athlete that can jump the greatest distance. The distance is calculated from the end of the runway to the nearest landing point measurement. The athlete will be disqualified if they step over the white line when jumping.
