An alumni network for every state school W: www.futurefirst.org.ukwww.futurefirst.org.uk E: info@futurefirst.org.ukinfo@futurefirst.org.uk P: 020 7239 8933 We’re a charity called Future First…

“Still don’t know what I want to do! Don’t know if I should try clearing or just get a job.” “I’m about to start training as a chef, and my new boss seems amazing.” “Cannot wait to go to uni!” “Can’t believe we’re leaving school” Sound familiar?

Future First works with school leavers like you to keep you connected with your school to educate, inform and inspire current students at your school about what they could go on to do. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/education/schools/y ou-could-have-a-job-like-mine-how-successful-alumni- can-inspire-pupils-7321336.html We interviewed young people your age in state schools and 39% of them said they don’t know anyone in a career they would like to do.

Your school has signed up to Future First so that it can build a community of former students to help students in your school. Future First collects your contact information and uses it to allow your school to stay in touch. Future First is a charity, so we won’t give your contact details away to anyone so you won’t get any annoying calls. You’ll just get the odd text or email so you’re still a connected to your school and your teachers are in the loop about where you go next. Your school wants you to sign up to the network and it only takes a minute! Future First

Once the network is up and running, it could help open up opportunities for work experience or career opportunities after you’ve left school. Future First will help your school keep in touch with you (but not in an annoying way) and see what you get up to. Future First

Do you wish you had been able to speak to people in jobs and ask how they started their careers? By staying in touch with your school you’ll be able to give this advice to younger students. You could be invited back to the school to act as a mentor or career role model to younger students. When you go for job interviews they love seeing these things on your CV. Benefits to you

Signing up is easy and will take no more than 1-2 minutes All you need to do is : Fill in a few personal details including your personal email and mobile phone number Check and agree to the data protection policy Then, you can sign up to the Future First Facebook App http://networks.futurefirst.org. uk/student-sign-up Sign up Today!
