3. Where I was born I was born April 25 th 1980, in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, in the Canary Islands.

4. Come back to the continent When I was two, my parents and I returned to Asturias.

5. Asturias Small region in the North. It is quite similar to Switzerland, so it is also called the “Petite Suisse”…..but we have beaches. You may know some people from there, such as the Nobel prize winner Severo Ochoa, Fernando Alonso (Formula 1 driver) or David Villa (football player). We have a very famous dish called “fabada” (avoid it if you are on diet!).

6. Gijon This is the city where I lived for almost 25 years. Founded by the Romans and was originally called Gigia. Local economy is based in the port, steel factories and services. Current population is around 300.ooo people.

7. My hobbies Cinema (action, science fiction, adventure) Music (all styles) Information Technology Sports I did swimming and basketball (at CERN’s basketball club), but my true passion is Judo. I have practiced Judo for 21 years, I am black belt since September 1997 and during my university years I have been part of the University of Oviedo Team. I won medals in regional and friendly national and international championships.

8. My education Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science at University of Oviedo. MSc in Computer and Network Security by University Oberta of Catalunya. Some other courses in Java, AJAX and security. Currently studying for SCJP certification.

9. My job experience (I) Judo teacher for children during 1 year. 4 months at University of Oviedo as grant-holder working on the development of a web project management software in PHP. 8 months at Grupo Intermark (Spain) as a Java software engineer. One year as a Technical Student at CERN in IT-CO, working in the SCADA development for gas control system for the experiments.

10. My job experience (II) Currently working since last September as a Fellow in the project ETICS. My tasks are mainly linked with the web services and some parts of the web application.

11. My future I hope to find something at CERN, or if is not possible something abroad, not in Spain for the moment. I will get married next September.
