2 So what is Podcasting? 4 What do we use it for? We can use the podcast to provide information to parents, spread student work, increase technology know-how, and give ideas and presentations to the World Wide Web Podcasting increases technology fluency and production brings classmates together, and forces them to get creative

5 THE FUN OF PODCASTING Its really fun because you get to tape all of the video and music… It is a great educational experience in which we get to have a great time using technology

6 How can you make/spread them? We used an open-source software called Audacity. It enables you to use a microphone and record and edit the audio files, and export/save them. You can distribute them by I-Tunes, Yahoo! Podcasting, the Internet, and your own blog/webpage. You can save them in mp3, wmv, and ogg vorbis for mass compatibility.
