2 Pre and post operation patients.  Nurses and CNA’s working together. › Both check on patients, but CNA’s have less patients and are unable to administer certain medical care.

3  Total knee and hip replacements.  Appendix removal.  Pneumonia.  C-diff.

4 Personal Protective Equipment  Used to prevent the spread of illness to medical workers. › Mask › Gloves › Gown

5 Postpartum (after having a baby) care of both Mother and Baby.  Nursery.  Labor.  Nurses, CNA’s, and OBGYN’s.

6 The baby is delivered through a cut in the uterus.  Much more sedation.  More pain medication.  Longer hospital stay.

7 Temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure.  Post operation- every two hours.  Babies- every two hours.  Mothers- every six hours.  C-section- every four hours.
