3 District Coordinator and Test Administrator Information Test Security Maintaining assessment security is one of your most important responsibilities as a coordinator and test administrator. At all times, district and state procedures for protecting secure assessment materials should be followed. You are responsible for ensuring the security of not only the physical test booklets, response cassettes, and prompt cassettes but also the individual assessment questions and materials. 2004 ELDA Packaging State Collaborative on Assessment and Student Standards

6 District Coordinator Information How District Coordinator Handles Materials Confirm that you have District Coordinator Manuals, return shipping label(s), and boxes for each of your schools listed on your packing list Send each school its respective box (you do not have to check each schools box; the school test administrator will do that) After testing, schools will return all materials to the district in their original school box Put all school materials in the original district box Tape securely Use supplied return shipping label(s) to send to MI 2004 ELDA Packaging State Collaborative on Assessment and Student Standards

13 Before testing, working one bag at a time, the STC or Test Administrator should print the students name on his/her bag with a permanent marker or label it in some other way to help keep track of student materials. 16 School Test Administrator Information Damaged Materials You will be supplied with extra testing bags Print Damaged on the students damaged test booklet/cassette and put it back in the students testing bag Take a replacement test booklet/cassette from one of the extra testing bags (and insert a Special Situations Form in the extra bag to indicate which testing material was removed) Print the students name on the replacement test booklet/cassette After testing, place the replacement test booklet/cassette back in the students bag with the students other test materials (and insert a Special Situations Form into the bag to indicate a replacement test is included) 2004 ELDA Packaging State Collaborative on Assessment and Student Standards

17 School Test Administrator Information After Testing Account for all materials using the school packing list Put all student materials/bags (used and unused) back into the original box that came from the district Put all teacher administrator materials back in the same box All materials must be returned -- double check that you have accounted for and packed everything Return the box to the district office 2004 ELDA Packaging State Collaborative on Assessment and Student Standards
