2 Where Taiga can be found The green parts shows where Taiga is. A boreal forest can be found in Canada and Russia also in other countries, but most likely Canada and Russia.

3 Climate Taiga has a cold climate. The temperature can be about - 5 or +5 around that! In Taiga the winters are cold and long! Also summer would be short, but cool. In other areas in taiga it can be different maybe somewhere its - 1. There isn’t much evaporation so the ground is usually moist. Taiga has a cold climate. 6 Plants There are many plant species in Taiga, there is the Pine Cone, Lichen, Moss and other various types of trees there. Such as a Fir tree and pine trees! There are a lot of other types of trees in the taiga but the main one is the pine tree. The pine tree sheds snow easily because of its thick waxed coats but when the temperature rises and its freezing photosynthesis begins. 8 Human Activities (Threats) The biggest threat in Taiga is exploration of oil and natural gases. Such as people are starting to mine for oil and gas in the boreal forest also people who live there are fishing, trapping, hunting there and they kill the animals who LIVE there! Some of these activities affect the natural system in this ecosystem which cant be good! The biggest threat in Taiga is exploration of oil and natural gases. 9 More Human Activities There is also tourism in the Boreal forest, people are starting to come and they disturb the animals that live there! Those animals probably didn’t do anything to those humans! There is also tourism in the Boreal forest, people are starting to come and they disturb the animals that live there! 10 How can we stop these activities? Well I think we should stop mining for oil. Or at least do it in a way that doesn’t harm the animals and our environment because if we harm our environment we harm ourselves! Well I think we should stop mining for oil.
