2 Q1 – Age of users Key findings: Majority of participants aged 50+ (75%) Are younger people aware of/need to use the website?

3 Q2 - Connection to the Church Key findings: Website is used mainly by those participating in church life (91%), whether directly ‘employed’ or volunteering

4 Q3 – Frequency of visits Key findings: Suggests majority of users only visit the website for specific reason Once per week or more likely to be interested in latest news

5 Q4 – Ease of use Key findings: 2/3 users find the website difficult to use and would like improvements This is reflected in the feedback in Q10

6 Q5 – Visit for latest news Key findings: The website is not seen as a primary news source People visit with a purpose and if they see news it is a bonus

7 Q6 – See news stories whilst looking for other things Key findings: Over 70% of users notice news stories whilst browsing the website

8 Q7 – Quality of news Key findings: Over 90% are satisfied with the quality of news, but there is room for improvement

9 Q8 – Importance of high quality website Key findings: As expected, 99% of people feel the website is important Almost half of those feel it is a vital way of engaging with people across the Diocese

10 Q9 – Source of Diocesan news Key findings: More than 50% use the website as a primary source of news 90% ranked the website amongst their top 2 sources for news Facebook and Twitter increasingly popular news sources - ‘gateway’ to website 1234N/ATotalAv. 11 Q10 – General Feedback 102 people provided feedback (38%) Recurring themes 34 comments (33%) referred to improving the search facility and making things easier to find General concern that the website is kept up-to-date, from news to documentation Need for the homepage to be clear, simple and user-friendly; quite ‘insiderish’ in terms of knowing which dropdown tab to look under Straightforward list of contact details – people are currently hidden under different sections List of forthcoming events
