Leadership decisions are aligned to the mission, vision, and core values of the organization. The activity of unwrapping is to assist every one in making the improvement tools of mission, vision, and core values concrete rather that just catchy sayings that are not connected to work and decisions. 12
13
Process for Unwrapping Identifying all of the verbs (actions) within your selected text is an important part to begin to align leadership actions with your mission, vision, and core values. Individually highlight all verbs within the text. Make sure your partners have identified the same verbs. Take a few minutes to reflect on the definition and the intention of the verbs in the context you are reading. Share your thinking with those you are working with today. 13
