1 Human Services Presentation By Kasey, Blaise, Sam, Will, and Sathvik

2 Summary Human Services is for jobs that involve helping people in need. These jobs could be a policeman all the way to a Politian. All these jobs have one thing in common: they all work to help humans in there daily life routine. People that go into human services are people that are unselfish, kind, caring, people that want to give back to the community.

3 What Type of People Go into Human Services? The people who go into human services are individuals who feel the urge to help the community. They help them correct there mistakes, and solve problems. For example the people who go into human services are people who work for the good of all and assisting others in life. They usually make a good amount of money, and when you need them they would be there to help you what ever you do.

4 What Classes Do You Have To Take In High-School? Typically for human services you have to take classes that teach you how to deal with people. Classes for that are public speaking, core literature courses, composition, etc. Certain jobs within human services require different classes. For example the profession politician, requires social- studies related classes, such as U.S. history, and U.S. government. Writing, reading, and speaking are very important skills to have in human services.

5 Lawyer Summary: A lawyer is someone who goes to court to defend someone who was in a car crash, or maybe someone who defends someone that was convicted of murder. There are many different types of lawyers. Earnings: These lawyers gets paid about 50,000 to 250,000 dollars a month depending on how good of a lawyer you are. Level of education: to become a lawyer, you must attend law school and complete a law degree. Before applying to law school, however, you must first complete a bachelor’s degree. Bachelor’s degrees usually take 4 years to complete.

6 Archaelogist Summary: Archaeologists search for and dig up artifacts at dig sites and have to clean and restore items. Then they have to right reposts on what they find and turn them into a museum. School: 4 years of Collage Earning Range: 32k-130k

7 Judge Summary: The Judge is the core guardian of justice of the legal system. The judge makes the decision in court room about the case and makes the decision of whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty. Earnings: Judges usually make $122,920 annual. Level of Education: To become a judge you need to attend 3 years of law school and the Bachelor’s degree which takes 4 years. And you need to be very interested in law in high school o need to be very intelligent and a good decision maker because judge make decisions.

9 Politician Politicians influence policies, make political decisions, and represent citizens’ interests in government matters. Earnings: Senators and members of the House of Representatives earn about $174,000 a year. minority and majority leaders earn more, around $193,000. The Speaker of the House earns approximately $224,000 a year. The Vice President, who also acts as president of the Senate, earns about $231,000 a year. The President of the United States makes around $400,000 a year. Level of education: 4 years of collage or university Job description: Politicians typically belong to political parties. At the federal and state levels, the party with the most elected representatives forms the government, while the other parties sit in opposition. Because it has the most seats, the governing party usually has more influence over which laws are passed. Its elected members also oversee the day-to-day operations of government departments. Opposition politicians can introduce their own laws, but much of the time they play the role of policy critics. ​

10 Professional Athlete Professional athletes train for upcoming games. They practice twice a day daily typically, and there main goal is to obtain a league championship. It is very hard to become a professional athlete, for there is typically only 900 spots in a league, out of millions that try-out. Level of Education: high-school, or college. To be drafted you typically have to be 18 or older. Salary: 20k-90k, but if you become a successful athlete you can make millions.
