This ornament consists of four notes: 1.The note above the main note; 2.The main note; 3.The note below the main note; 4.The main note. rit. = ritardando A directive to perform a passage with a gradually reduced tempo. Progressively slower. a tempo: An directive to return to the previous tempo after a deliberate deviation. dim. = dimenuendo A directive to a performer to smoothly decrease the volum of the specific passage. Sfz = sforzando A directive to perform a specific note with particular emphasis.
