1 President’s Report 2005 Disappointment of 2004 prompted a reassessment of our attitudes Disappointment of 2004 prompted a reassessment of our attitudes Fell short of our expectations in the lower grades Fell short of our expectations in the lower grades 2005 still a success across the board 2005 still a success across the board –2 nd in Club Championship –4 grades in semi-finals –1 st Grade Premiers

2 President’s Report 2005 2 nd placing in Club Championship 2 nd placing in Club Championship –Reflects our continued strength as a club within the zone –Every team contributed 1 st Premiership in 1 st Grade since 1998 1 st Premiership in 1 st Grade since 1998 –Culmination of 7 years of frustration –Gradual development of skills, confidence, maturity structure and self belief

3 President’s Report 2005 Results v Expectations Results v Expectations –Our club culture sets the bar at a high level –Every team competed to the best of their ability –Need to maintain that high standard –Continue to strive for improvement as a club both on and off the field

4 President’s Report 2005 Strength of our Colts has given us a strong platform for future Strength of our Colts has given us a strong platform for future –Number made run-on debuts in 1 st Grade –Many colts were on 1 st Grade bench –Blooding of colts in the top grade is an important facet in players achieving their full potential –Tradition that has been continued over many seasons

8 President’s Report 2005 Player Recruitment Player Recruitment –Player numbers are currently good –The numbers in lower grades have improved through hard work –Combined effort from whole club is required to maintain player base –Areas to Target –Schools –Community –Overseas
