3 rd : you will need to create a new document. Click on New.

Then… change your teacher to Owner
14
To save your project to a flashdrive for insurance should the internet or google site go down, click File, Download as, Microsoft PowerPoint
15
Once you have “Downloaded As… PowerPoint”, your PPT file will be saved in your documents as a PPT file. If you want to move a copy somewhere else (your flashdrive, Student Documents folder, etc.) then you will have to “Upload - Files” to that location.
16
WORK WITH THIS FREE VERSION OF “POWERPOINT” AND OVER TIME YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE VERY NICE SLIDES AND SAVE THEM PROPERLY – IT TAKES A LITTLE TIME TO LEARN HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS (just like any other program) BUT IT’S FREE !! (and you can do real-time collaboration with others on ONE FILE)
17
REMEMBER WHENEVER YOU’VE DONE A LOT OF WORK TO TAKE A MINUTE TO “DOWNLOAD as…” and “UPLOAD” YOUR FILE TO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR BACKUP. A flashdrive is a great place – as it’s part of Required Student Equipment every day at school (just like your Science Journal is required for every Science class) BE AWARE WE HAVE SEEN PICTURES MOVE A BIT WHEN BEING CONVERTED, BUT YOU AT LEAST HAVE SOMETHING WORKABLE IF THE INTERNET/google SITE GOES DOWN. SAVE A “soft copy” OFTEN TO…
18
Finally – check over all the work done by others in your group. Contact them FIRST about any SUGGESTED changes. (use the Comment function) DO NOT EVER CHANGE ANYONE ELSE’S WORK (you will put ONE NAME ON EACH SLIDE – that is the “owner”) End show Jen D.
