4  November 2007 - Host city status  May 2008 - GCC Executive Committee authorised the use of compulsory purchase powers to secure full ownership of the CPO Site  June 2008- The Glasgow Commonwealth Games Bill granted Royal Assent as The Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008  Late 2008 – Start of voluntary acquisition negotiations  January 2009 - Council made the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Village and Legacy Compulsory Purchase Order 2009 (“CPO”);

5  Early 2008- summer 2009 - voluntary acquisition of significant plots of land within the CPO site and corresponding withdrawal of objections to CPO  13 February 2009 - the CPO sent for approval to the Scottish Government  Early September 2009- conclusion of agreement between the Council and the remaining major commercial land owner  7 October 2009 - CPO public hearing took place in respect of remaining statutory objections  January 2010 - August 2010 - confirmation by Scottish Government CPO Site in three phases

6  June- December 2010 - Council completes title to whole of the CPO Site  September 2010 - CPO site handed over to City Legacy Limited  Total Timescale for CPO – Just over a year
