4 Stage manager In complete charge backstage during performances
Responsible for keeping a prompt book In charge backstage during a rehearsal Calls cues to technicians during show

5 Technical director Takes care of communication between the director and designers Makes sure the designs of the artists are done right Helps build/create

6 Costume designer Designs all costumes (shape, fabric, etc.)
Oversees the making of costumes Keeps up costumes during run Deals with storing/returning/repurposing after a show

7 Set designer Designs scenery for a show Helps crew to create set
Deals with paint, building, etc. Communication is key

8 Prop master Makes sure that props used in a show are made or collected properly Creates prop plots Keeps props in working order

9 Make-up designer Usually “designs” the hair for the show
Designs make-up Create make-up sketches

10 Handles announcements/events
Publicity manager Plans out all the advertising for the show (newspaper, radio, tv, etc.) Puts show posters up Handles announcements/events

15 Lighting designer Has to create a “light plot”
In charge of creating plot (hanging light, placing gels, etc.) Deals with programing the light board

16 Program manager Makes sure all names are spelled correctly in the program Sometimes responsible for getting ads for the program Prints and designs programs

17 Sound designer Responsible for microphones during a show
Would figure out any sound effects used in a show Mixes sound during musicals
