8 Recitations / Presentations / Listening The goal of a recitation is to not simply memorize and recite, but to practice fluency and expression. Using reasoning and evidence, presentations should describe the speaker’s arguments and claims. Presentations should be clear and well-organized. Multimedia components and visual displays are encouraged. During discussions, listening is key to understanding other perspectives.
