This question helps you to know the students’ prior knowledge about the topic. This question helps you to know what kind of motivation students have about studying the topic. Assessment question

9 Use visual aids and technology methods such as maps, graphic organizers, board, smart board, short clips. If use a short movie, then it is recommended to give students a worksheet with questions on it. Using the board helps you make the connection between the different ideas you teach, and helps students follow your explanations.

10 Keep in your mind that what is interesting to you in the subject matter not necessarily interesting for kids in the classroom. try to use students’ funds of knowledge (what they bring from their families and community) in your teaching.

11 You may want to use external materials in order to show another perspective about the same topic. For example (political science teachers may use an article from a newspaper to show how principles of democracy may contradict with each other). At the end of the class, you need to give a short summary of the main points discussed in the classroom, give students homework if you want.
