2 HIA and the use of urban health indicators City experience in the field: Strongly endorsed in the public health strategy Investing for Health Belfast has pioneered several HIAs in NI. Current programme aims to integrate HIA into the planning and decision making processes, especially non-health policies. Belfast is lead City for sub network on HIA Needs and challenges: HIA in HUP HIA and regeneration Health, sustainability and Equity tool Expectations: Address Health Inequalities across the city Integrate health into sustainability and regeneration Political commitment BUILDING HEALTHY COMMUNITIES Thematic Network and Co- co-financed by the URBACT II Programme City of Turin Urban Regeneration and Development Sector in collaboration with QeC - ERAN

3 Policies and actions for an healthy and active ageing City experience in the field: EHSSB Older Peoples health and Wellbeing Strategy 2006 Healthy Ageing Interaction Plan2006-9 All Party Reference group and Interagency partnership Needs and challenges: Multi agency working Expectations: Belfast's project will not focus on this area.
