6 6 1.Club Management (Continued) The purpose of a Retreat is to address concerns and overcome obstacles that cannot be successfully discussed or solved at a regular meetings. Use the handy planning guide to conduct a Retreat for your club. Properly planned and run Retreats are positive experiences for all the participants. Planning and Conducting Retreat – (CB1)

7 7 2. Member Recruiting Orientation Guide (ME13) Conducting new member orientations will engage members in your club. Orientation helps new members commit to club, learn what it means to be a Lion. Membership Application (ME6B) Attractive pocket invitation to Lions membership. Always carry with you. I am a Lion (ME37 ) This bold new recruiting brochure is designed by women for women.

Member Recruiting (Continued) Club Sponsor Night – (CA4) Adds a social twist to your membership growth efforts Provides clubs with an opportunity to introduce The club’s outstanding community service and benefits of membership to invitees This section has lots of other great recruiting aids and brochures…..

9 9 3. Member Retention Lions Mentoring Program (MTR5) A program to pair inexperienced Lions with knowledgeable Lions. President’s Retention Campaign (PRC1) Excellent program to help club presidents recognize and address retention issues within their club. Working Together (PRC2) Practical guide for helping club members work together; is a “must- read” for every club president.

10 10 4. Service Activities Making It Happen (TK10) Identify a community Talk to people…find an unmet need in community. Identify people to address the need. Gather community-minded people who are interested in supporting the new project. Show them how a Lions club can help them accomplish their goals.
