 Please read this information carefully  Grades range from A – F  All assignments submitted ON TIME will be returned within 1 week  Discussion threads will be reviewed by end of Saturday (class ends on Tuesdays)

 Students must notify me in email that assignment is to be late  Include the projected date of submission in the message  Provide reason(s) for lateness  Await verification and approval from me via email reply

Papers will be graded within 1 week of submission Extenuating circumstances normally do not have any point deductions. Without Extenuating Circumstances: Up to one week (1-7 calendar days) late 20% deduction in points After one week (8-14 calendar days) late 30% deduction in points No work will be accepted more than two (2) weeks after the due date. Bundled assignments are unacceptable

 Projects: username-project-unit#.doc  Must include: A title page  The paper itself (the "discussion")  A references page  A title page contains three items: a running head (a short version of the title), the paper's title, and the author's name, c ourse title, and date of submission

 Use standard margins: 1" on all sides.  Use standard 12-point font size.  Use standard double-spacing: average of 22 lines per page, and between 20 and 24 lines per page.  Use left-aligned text. Do not right-justify.  There should be no subtitles or spaces between paragraphs within the paper.

Check the Doc Sharing folder for APA and Helpful Writing Tip information Use Headers in your papers Helps frame thinking and writing Assume the reader knows NOTHING about your topic Include citations/references in the body of your papers Use spell and grammar check –proof read

 Plagiarism: Using another person's words, ideas, or results without giving proper credit to that person; giving the impression that it is the student's own work.  Citations and references MUST be included in the body of your papers and a reference list is last page of assignment (listed in alphabetical order)

 In essence, plagiarism is the theft of someone else's ideas and work. Whether a student copies verbatim or simply rephrases the ideas of another without properly acknowledging the source, it is still plagiarism  students must take great care to distinguish their own ideas and language from information derived from other sources.

 Random selection and submission of written assignments will be conducted  If document is perceived to be plagiarized, the student will be notified in writing and Kaplan University will be cc’d in this correspondence.  Plagiarism is grounds for dismissal so PLEASE BE DILIGENT AND ATTENTIVE TO YOUR WRITING ASSIGNMENTS.
