6. SHARKS Sharks are the most fearsome predatory fish of the sea. There are 375 species of sharks. They live mostly in warm seas. Their torpedo shaped bodies make them very fast swimmers. Sharks have a skeleton make of rubbery cartilage. Most of kinds of fish have bony skeletons. The world biggest fish is the whales sharks. It can grow well to over 12 meters long. Unlike other sharks, the whale sharks and the basking sharks mostly eat planktons and are completely harmless. Shark’s main weapons are its teeth. Up to 21 people die from recorded sharks attack each year. Just be careful when you swim in the sea.
