ENLACE Aims and Objectives The ENLACE project aims at supporting the bi-regional dialogue between the EU and CA on science and technology issues: Identification of common research areas of mutual interest and benefit Setting-up a network of FP7 Contact Points in Central America Promoting public-private partnerships Increasing the awareness on the benefits of EU-CA research cooperation Fostering the participation of CA researchers in EU FP7 projects http://www.enlace-project.eu/about.aspx

ENLACE Services TRAINING activities to increase the basic knowledge of FP7 and Innovation & Technology Transfer Dissemination EVENTS including the FP7 Adventure campaign to bring ENLACE results to policy makers and the scientific community NETWORKING and PARTNER SEARCH activities to raise researchers awareness on FP7 in Central America ONLINE HELPDESK (q&a) available at the ENLACE website to assist Central American researchers in understanding and joining the 7th RTD Framework Programme www.enlace-project.eu/q-and-a.aspx

ENLACE Grant Scheme – CALLS The first call (closed on 10th of June 2010) was a pilot action and focused on selected FP7 events on specific themes: Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and Biotechnology (Brussels 13-15 of September): 2 researchers funded Information and Communication Technologies: (Brussels 27-29 of September): 5 researchers funded Research Infrastructures: Rome 30 of September: 1 researcher funded www.enlace-project.eu/grant_scheme.aspx

ENLACE ExpertsDialogue The Experts Dialogues are expected to produce recommendations for such priority topics to be presented to the European Commission for consideration in future FP7 Work Programme and established a shared platform of RTD thematic priorities. The second Expert Dialogue will be carried out in 2011 and will focus on three new themes. First Expert Dialogue, Athens 11th June 2020 The Expert dialogue is conceived as a bi-regional exchange of ideas, trends and strategies involving CA and EU experts.
