2 About this Presentation This presentation explains – How to get to the NARFE CAB Home Page – How to navigate the CAB Web Pages – Some of things on the Web Pages Most screens will go to the next screen only after you “left click” on your mouse or other device. They have the “Click to advance” at the bottom. Click to advance

3 Get on your computer And go to NARFE.ORG

4 This the NARFE.ORG Home Page (This page was copied on May 14, 2013, it may be slightly different when you visit) Click to advance

5 First, click on “MEMBER LOG IN” Click to advance

6 This is the login page. Click to advance

7 This is the login page. Click to advance Note that if this is the first time you are using your email, click here.

9 This is the login page. Click to advance You can also use you name and member ID

10 This is the page you will see after you log on as a NARFE member, hopefully a little larger. Click to advance

11 You need to click on Officer Resources Click to advance

12 This is the Officer Resources page. It will not be this small when you actually go there. Click to advance

13 When you visit the Officer Resource page you will probably need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to get to the CAB links Click to advance

14 On the left side of the page on the very bottom you will see the CAB links. The next page will show you the page if you click on CAB Activities. Click to advance

15 This is the CAB “Home Page”. Again, it will not be this small when you really see it. Click to advance

16 This is just the top portion, and a little bit more readable. As you advance the screen we will talk a little about each section on the page Click to advance

18 Click to advance This is basic information about the CAB.

19 Click to advance These are mostly documents that the CAB is using, such as the agenda for the next meeting, sample power points, etc. They are generally stored as a PDF. If you are not familiar with that term don’t worry. It is type of document easily read by most computers.

20 Click to advance If you click on this link you will be taken to a page where you can select your CAB representative. There is a CAB member for each region. The next page will show that page.

21 Click to advance This is the complete screen, but lets go to the next screen to see something we can read

22 Click to advance This is better Each CAB member is shown with their region information, name, telephone number and email. If you click on the email link you will see the next screen.

24 Click to advance This is better Click on SEND.

25 Click to advance The CAB Blog link will take you to the…… CAB Blog

26 Click to advance The CAB Blog page is so long I will not show you the complete page in one screen shot. Just trust me on this – the text is REALLY small.

27 Click to advance This is the top of the page. If you are not a CAB member do not worry about most of these links

30 Click to advance You can’t go here unless you are administrator

31 Click to advance This allows a CAB member to add a new blog

32 Click to advance This does just what it says, it will log you out

34 Click to advance The items below are located in one column on the right of the page. I put them into three column to make it easier to see.

35 Click to advance Daily Posts When a new blog or comments is made the day is highlighted.

36 Click to advance Blogs These are the most recent blogs.

37 Click to advance Recent Comments CAB members can comment on a blog, or “new topic”. This lists the most recent comments

38 Click to advance Categories This is really nice. When you click on a category you will only see the blogs related to that category. Click on CAB Meetings and you will see a brief description of each monthly CAB meeting.
