2 What did the roman’s wear? Men wore toga’s when they wanted to look smart. Roman lady's wore a long tunic that almost touched the floor.

3 What did the Roman’s eat? Romans drank wine.Rich Roman’s served expensive and unusual food to show off. The more unusual food the more guests at the dinner party.

4 Roman town’s and home’s. Wealthy Romans lived in large detached house’s made of stone or brick called villa’s. The homes of wealthy Roman’s looked bare from the outside.

5 Why did roman’s invade Britain? Julius Caesar fought against the Britons because the Britons kept helping Gaul’s fight the roman’s.

6 Roman Building Roman’s built Hadrian's wall in Scotland. It took nine years to build it. Roman’s Aqueducts in Pont du Gard in southern France.

7 The Roman Army The roman empire became very strong because it had a very good Army to help it conquer and later control all the other lands.

8 A Roman Solider The Roman soldier was a professional soldier.This means he would have joined the Roman army for twenty five years

10 Who where the Roman’s? The green bits show how far the Roman’s spread over Europe.

11 Famous roman’s Julius Caesar was born in 100bc.he was a great soldier. Augusts proper name was Octavian. After Caesar’s death he took over with two other men.

12 Boudicca Boudicca became leader of the iceni when her husband Prasutaus died.The roman’s took his treasure and assaulted her and her daughters.

13 A tour of a roman town This is a roman town house people lived in these house’s if they were rich. This is a place were gladiators would fight it is called a amphitheatre. This is a roman bath house were people would get washed and have a swim. This is a temple were roman’s prayed to their gods This is a Christian church roman’s worshiped god in the church.

14 Roman’s fun and games The two roman games that they liked to watch the most were chariot racing and gladiators. Roman plays were often on at the roman theatre. A tragedy play would have a sad ending.

15 Roman schools Rome didn’t have any public schools.Most children went to a private school some studied at home.There subjects were reading,writing and arithmetic. In many homes slaves taught the children.Before the age of fourteen they learned Latin and Greek.

16 Roman Mosaics This is a Roman Mosaic. Mosaics were made of tiny stones. They were on the floor of your house.

17 Roman’s from all over The roman’s invaded Britain in ad 43 and ruled it for almost 400 years. People from all over the Roman empire came and traded with and to live in Britain. Some of these people might of came from Gaul, Italy,Spain, Greece,North Africa or the middle east.

18 Why did the Roman’s leave Britain? The Roman’s left Britain because there was trouble back in Italy.One after a another officers from the Roman army stationed in Britain decided that they could make a better job of things if they were emperor. The best known of these men was called Magnus Maximus.

19 Roman hairstyles Roman hairstyle changed constantly,one year it would be fashionable to have the hair piled high on your head the next year the fashion was ringlets. Some roman girls would of worn elaborate wigs.
