IPE is carrying out research activities in 3 Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) projects:  ASPIRE – “Achieving Energy Sustainability in Peripheral Regions of Europe “(1 October 2006 – 31 March 2009);  “Clearinghouse Support – Paving the way for better energy performance of building in the EU” (1 January 2007 – 31 December 2009);  “Monitoring of Energy Demand Trends and Energy Efficiency in the EU (ODYSSEE MURE (EU-27))” (started on 2007). 7. IPE carried out research activities in INTERREG III C project:  “Network of pioneering communities and regions working on innovative heat energy solutions” (REGENERGY) – 20 partners from 10 EU-countries IPE has coorperation with Joint Research Centre of the European Commission Institute for Environment and Sustainability, Ispra. 11.  Projects of Fundamental and Applied Research funded by Latvian Council of Sciences – 15 projects.  IPE participates in 4 Joint Research Projects also funded by Latvian Council of Sciences.
