23 combination of both Retailing & Team Building!
BEST PLAN? combination of both Retailing & Team Building!

24 2. Benefits of action-based goal setting
MONEY FREEDOM & TIME FREEDOM

25 Now you know WHAT TO DO … you need to write down WHAT YOU WANT
As proof of the importance of written goals, consider this study of the 1953 University of Yale graduating class: 3% made their goals specific and PUT THEM IN WRITING 97% did not And the fact is 20 YEARS LATER THE 3% WHO HAD MADE SPECIFIC WRITTEN GOALS HAD ACHIEVED MORE INCOME THAN THE OTHER 97% COMBINED

26 to achieve what you want in life
GOALS … the driving force that will keep you focussed and determined to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to achieve what you want in life

27 Examples The opportunity to create an inheritable business for my family To spend more time with my family than the babysitter does Buy things without looking at the price first A secure retirement Help people in need To get out of, and stay out of, debt A new home A new car The opportunity to travel A better education for my children Financial security

28 Your `WHY’ TODAY Short term goal 1 Short term goal 2 Short term goal 3

29 Your `WHY’ is your final destination …
achieved by reaching your `GOALS’ along the way

30 My First `Why’ “I (Stephen Bourne) have come into Network Marketing because I want to Become financially secure and totally debt-free Ensure I have adequately provided for my family’s future Be able to buy what I want without looking at the price tags Be able to get up every morning with a smile on my face because I enjoy my work Have vacations where and when I want Have time freedom to do what I want Be more involved with my charity work Have the satisfaction and pride in knowing that I have helped my family and friends (both new and old) reach their Goals There is a lot more (pages and pages and pages more!) because under each of the above bullet points I wrote a lengthy explanation of what reaching each Goal meant to me. I poured out my heart to myself as I described what I really wanted my life to be; I painted a picture in words of how I saw my future life.

31 WHAT IS A GOAL?  A goal is a dream with a deadline
 A goal is something you're committed to accomplishing  A goal is a dream you are willing to work for

32  Only you can determine whether or not your goal is worth going for
 Only you can determine whether your belief, determination and desire will make it work  Only you can determines whether it is big enough and important enough to be worthy of your best effort

33 ASK YOURSELF  What would you do with your life if you had unlimited time, talent and money?  What do you want to do, be, see, have or experience?  What do you want to learn, change, create, improve or eliminate?

34 If you have £1 million in your bank account and you do nothing with it … there is no value to the extra money If you have £1 million in your bank account and you do not change what you do with your TIME … there is no value to the extra time that the money has created

35  This is not a vocational job – nurses, carers, etc
 It is all about earning money … and what you will do with it

36 setting your goals is easy … achieving your goals is more difficult

37 GOALS

38 Write down what you want from your life…
that the money from your FM business is going to give you

39 Write POSITIVELY Do NOT use expressions such as: “I would LIKE TO …” “IF I could …” “I DREAM of …” “IF luck was on my side, I would …”

40 Write POSITIVELY Use strong, positive expressions such as: “I AM going to …” “I WILL …”

41 LONG TERM GOALS Similar to your `WHY’ … but more detailed
Shows where you want to be within a specific time (more than 1 or 2 years)

42 SHORT TERM GOALS  Steps up a ladder  Must put a TARGET DATE
 Must REWARD yourself  Must have a 90-DAY PLAN

43 Example of Short Term Goals
In my first 90-days I will reach an income of £100 month – and will take Tracey out to the pictures 2. In my second 90-days I will reach an income of £250 month – and will take Tracey and Sophie out for dinner 3. In my third 90-days I will reach an income of £700 month – and will take Tracey and Sophie away for a weekend break in a good hotel 4. In my 4th 90-days I will reach an income of at least £1,000 month and also the position of Pearl Orchid – I will arrange a one week family holiday abroad
