Minutes of SeON WG session SeON WG GISFI #6 report presented as information for new members participating in GISFI #7 Deliverables Status Discussed –Task 1: SeON Framework document – Need to add detailed perspective of Architecture and update the document and make it available for review by Mar’12. Initial draft to be made available for review by Jan’12. –Task 2: Business Models and Architecture – This is completed and needs to be made available in the TR format for review by Jan’12. The architecture perspective needs to be captured in the framework document. –Task 3: Gap analysis with other SDO – Update the document with a detailed analysis of IEEE NGSON and ATIS SON. –Task 5: Information Management – The updates to be taken offline from Basavaraj Hooli. –Task 6: Cloud Computing Framework - Huawei, NEC, TCS, NIKSUN have volunteered to participate in this work. Contributions are invited.

Minutes of SeON WG session Contributions Discussed –Identity Management for Service Oriented Networking – Anand Prasad, NEC (Introduction to the area without presentation) provided the viewpoints of Identity management in application layer, cloud layer and control layer. Some standards like OpenID and OAuth are popular and need to further investigate the challenges and area of focus for GISFI. –SeON Standardization Areas for GISFI – Niranth, Huawei presented a initial version of consideration of collaboration with IEEE NGSON and ATIS SON in 6 areas (QoS, Service Composition, Self Organization, Content Delivery, Context Awareness, Identity Management). They were discussed and detailed information need to be captured in the SeON Framework document. The areas under discussion need standardization co-operation with other SDOs like ATIS, IEEE, IETF strongly. As of now there is a big gap in the standardization itself. Only IEEE P1903 std. has been published in this area.

Minutes of SeON WG session Next Steps –Deliverables Finalize the existing framework document as per the new charter Gap analysis and Reference models (e.g., NGSON, ATIS) Cloud computing framework for Telecom Make all documents available in the website –Contributions to be made for IEEE, IETF and ATIS. (May be share the TRs after approval to these SDOs with the intent of standardization co- operation) –Map GISFI requirements including rural to NGSON –Evolution of SDP MOU/LS to P1903, IETF, ITU-T, and ATIS SON/Cloud Computing Forum Hold one conference call to discuss the details about the areas for standardization for GISFI. All TR Plans to be updated and made available to GISFI members.
