3 Protecting your information First Gulf Bank always ensures its customers a secure online banking platform. FGB demonstrates high level of preparedness for handling malicious attacks. FGB incorporates process and technology solutions that are in line with the best practices for protecting customer data and financial transactions.

4 Defense against Malicious Attacks - Do’s & Don’ts of Online Banking Use SMART Secure Desktop (Refer Secure Desktop Walk Through). Avoid downloading unlicensed or pirated software. Install and Update the Patches, Antivirus, Firewall & end point security. Protect wireless connection with strong password/encryption at all times. Avoid using internet banking at public kiosk PC, airport, mall, etc. At the end of all Online Banking activity, please “Log Off”. Avoid downloading attachments from email sent by unknown senders Do not respond to unsolicited emails/websites requesting personal information like your banking card number, ATM PIN, CVV number, Online/Telephone banking passwords, credit card numbers etc.

5 Defense against Malicious Attacks Do’s & Don’ts of Online Banking - continued Don't email confidential information such as account numbers, PIN numbers, Banking Passwords, etc. Set browser to delete all files on exit NOTE: FGB will never request you to provide/update your Account Details, Credit Card, Password/PINs via online, phone or email.

6 SMART Secure Desktop SMART Secure Desktop (SSD) provides higher level of protection from malicious attacks. SSD is a client application that creates a virtual desktop within which a secure session is established from an end user’s PC to the FGB’s Corporate Internet Banking Website. SSD protects from most attacks as it encrypts all your data while you are doing online banking transactions with FGB. SSD supports Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (32 bit) and Mozilla Firefox 2.x and 3.x. Any normal user will be able to use this feature without having administrative privileges on their computer. End User internet and internet banking transactions will work exactly as it was working previously.

8 Click on “SMART SECURE DESTOP“ above ‘Internet Banking Login’ Click “YES”, when prompted to access securely. SMART Secure Desktop Walk through

9 Once clicked the components starts to load It might take few minutes Ensure its checked Once checked, please click the “Run” button, To install Java Client Notification will appear, once the components are Successfully Loaded and will be auto directed to Secure Desktop. 10 On the notification window click ‘OK” And click “Yes”, if prompted for secure view only. The virtual desktop would appear. To switch to normal desktop, double click the “Yellow” lock. On the bottom right hand corner of the screen To return to secure desktop, double click the “Red” lock. SMART Secure Desktop Walk through

11 On the log-in page, please enter your credentials for Internet Banking NOTE: Please click “ ” from “Secure Desktop” (virtual machine) at the end of your Internet Banking activity. The Corporate Internet Banking login webpage will auto load. EXIT SMART Secure Desktop – Walk through
