To ensure effective implementation of the e-CMR, Contracting Parties should adopt coordinated position to: urge more Contracting Parties to join the Additional Protocol; urge Governments to agree on practical implementation requirements and procedures for the E-CMR with a specific focus on agreeing on internationally harmonised technical standards in the domain of electronic signatures and authentication methods.
