3 How to accede to the TIR Convention? It’s very simple! Article 52 of the TIR Convention: “1. All States members of the United Nations […] may become Contracting Parties to this Convention: (a)By signing it without reservation […] (b)By depositing an instrument of ratification […] […] 4. 6 Action Plan 1.Designation of the Competent Authorities responsible for the TIR Convention 2.Designation of the national Authority responsible for the approval of road vehicles as per article 12 of the TIR Convention 3.Authorization of a national issuing and guaranteeing association by the Competent Authorities (Article 6 and Annex 9, Part I of the TIR Convention refers).
