4. 4 LRS Database Update Interval database was migrated from Pervasive BTrieve to Oracle 10g data repository. Reasons for migration.  Save ~$2500 cost for BTrieve upgrade.  Improve database support – ERCOT has tools and expertise to support Oracle.  Improve access to interval data and analysis results by including tools such as SAS and TOAD. With BTrieve, C/S Lodestar and Interval Data Manager (IDM) are the only available access tools.  Database architecture is similar to “big” Lodestar database used in settlements.
