3 Introduction to Viewing/Editing Your Profile The FMCSA Portal allows Enforcement users to manage their own Profile This functionality allows a Enforcement user to: View and edit their personal, work or security information as necessary View the Portal Roles and other FMCSA Systems Roles Request additional Portal or other FMCSA System Roles Remove Portal or other FMCSA System Roles when no longer needed View and edit their email notification preferences

4 Accessing View My Profile To access your profile information Select My Profile under the Account Management menu item

5 Viewing/Editing My Profile – General Information The General Info tab allows Enforcement users to view and edit their personal, security, and work/contact information

6 Viewing/Editing General Information (cont’d) To edit your personal or work / contact information Simply put your cursor in a field and type in new information or use the drop-down function to select new data where applicable Click the Update Profile button to save the modifications made to your profile

7 Viewing/Editing General Information (cont’d) To view and edit your security identification questions or answers Click the View/Edit Security Questions button On the View/Change Security Questions screen, select new security questions or type new answers for existing security questions Click the Update Profile button to save the modifications made to your Security Questions

8 Viewing/Editing General Information (cont’d) To view the current Rules of Behavior form Click the View current version link To print the current Rules of Behavior Click the Print Current Version link

9 Viewing/Editing My Profile – Portal Roles The Portal Roles tab allows users to view and update the Portal roles they have requested and are currently assigned Enforcement users wishing to increase the functions they are authorized to perform in the FMCSA Portal may do so by submitting requests for additional roles Enforcement users should review all of the available roles in the Portal and Existing FMCSA Systems Roles document to be sure they request appropriate system and role access

10 Viewing/Editing My Profile – Portal Roles (continued) To request access for additional Portal Roles Select a role to request from the Available Roles list Select an Organization or State (where applicable) from the Organization / State list Click the Add Role button to move the selected role to the Request Role table

11 Viewing/Editing My Profile – Available Systems The Available Systems tab allows Enforcement users to view and update the other FMCSA System roles they have requested and are currently assigned The other FMCSA Systems Enforcement users can request access to is MCMIS, EMIS, L&I, DataQs, InfoSys, A&I, SAFER, Query Central, HMPIP and NCCDB Enforcement users with existing accounts in these systems must re- register for access via the FMCSA Portal to utilize the Single Sign-On capability

12 Viewing/Editing My Profile – Available Systems (continued) To add other FMCSA system roles to your account request Select a system from the drop down menu to see what roles are available Select a role to request from the Available Roles list Enforcement users are encouraged to read the Role Selection Description for the role selected to determine if their job function meets the criteria of the selected role Click the Add Role button to move the selected role to the Request Role table

13 Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/Available System Roles (cont’d) To remove Portal or other FMCSA system from your profile Highlight the role to remove the Requested Roles list Click the Remove Role button to move the selected role to the Available Roles list Enter a Comment to specify the reason for the role removal

14 Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/Available System Roles (cont’d) Once you have completed adding or removing roles access as well as the other required information Click the Updated Profile button to submit the request

15 Viewing/Editing Email Preferences The Preferences tab allows Enforcement users with administrative roles to manage their email preferences for the following emails: Request Submittal - An email notification generated when a request for a role is submitted Request Submittal Reminder - An email notification that is generated when a request is not approved or denied 7 days after submittal of the request Request Processed - An email notification that is generated when a request is approved or denied by the Enforcement Official or the Enforcement Official Alternate Role Remove - An email notification that is generated when a Enforcement User removes a role

16 Viewing/Editing Email Preferences (cont’d) To edit your email preferences Select On for the email notifications you would like to receive By default, On is selected for all email notifications Select Off for email notification you would no longer like to receive Click the Update Profile button to save the modifications made to your email notifications

17 Review Enforcement users can access their own user profile online for viewing and updating personal, work, contact and security identification information and requesting additional system and role access Enforcement users with administrative roles, such as Chief Accounts Officer, Organization Coordinator, Point of Contact or their respective Alternates can also use the View My Profile functionality to manage their email preferences Enforcement users are encouraged to review all of the available roles in the Portal and Existing FMCSA Systems Roles document to be sure they request appropriate system and role access
