2 Information - Teide is a volcano in the Canary islands. - 3, 718 meters -It is the third highest volcano on Earth. -Mauna Loa -Mauna Kea The first people that lived on the Canary Island named the volcano Echeyde

3 The history Echeyde means hell and Guayota lives there. –Guayota: demon of evil. Guayota kidnapped Magec, –Magec: god of light and sun. Guayota took Magec inside the volcano.The people of the Island asked Achamán for help. –Achamán: supreme god. He fought Guayota and Achamán won. Magec left the volcano and he covered the top of the volcano so Guayota couldnt leave.

4 Eruption Ancient eruptions 150.000 years ago created the island today.

5 In the past Spanish people came to the Canary Island –Echeide Teide. In 1954 the National Park called las Cañadas moved to include Teide.
