4 The ‘Instituto Canarias’ was established in 1846 and it was the first high school in the Canary Islands.

5 The Teide blue finch is an endemic bird. Its scientific name is Fringilla Teydea Teydea. In Spanish: Pinzón Azul del Teide

6 The students had to complete the activities of the Museum questionnaire in English.

7 Some students asked the questions directly to the birds…

8 We thank the teacher Ms Maruca Juan, Biology teacher at IES Canarias C.P., for being our ‘bilingual’ guide in the Museum.

9 All of us had a good time

11 We learnt about… Wood work, decorated tiles, Mudéjar architecture, etc.

12 We finished our visit at the Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País

13 We saw an exhibition with documents about the bicentenary of the 1812 Spanish Constitution

14 Now we know La Laguna from a different point of view…
