Fire Is the Third Leading Cause of Accidental Deaths in the United States. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.157 (Portable Fire Extinguishers and Their Use) Requires That "Employers Shall Provide Portable Fire Extinguishers and Shall Mount, Locate, and Identify Them So That They Are Readily Accessible to Employees Without Subjecting Employees to Possible Injury."
