2 Dates and Deadlines  Obtain your TCard: Immediately  Payment of fees to meet registration deadline: Friday, August 28, 2015  Registration deadline: Friday, September 18, 2015  Payment of Fall fees to prevent service charges: September 30, 2015 (service charges begin October 15 th )  Course enrolment opens for DLSPH courses: August 10, 2015  Course enrolment deadline for Fall courses: September 28, 2015  CHL5004H: Intro to Public Health Sciences begins: September 8, 2015  Fall courses begin: September 14, 2015 2

3 TCard and UTmail+  Serves as your student photo ID and library card  Issued at Robarts Research Library, 130 St. George St., Room 2054A  Bring your Offer of Admission and proof of citizenship (including government-issued photo ID)  For information and hours of service: http://www.utoronto.ca/tcard or 416-946-8047http://www.utoronto.ca/tcard  Activate your UTORid and create your University-issued email (UTmail+) account at www.utorid.utoronto.cawww.utorid.utoronto.ca  Record your UTmail+ address on ACORN/ROSI 3

4 ACORN and ROSI 4  ROSI = Repository of Student Information  stores your personal and academic information  ACORN = Accessible Campus Online Resource Network  the online access to student services  Logon to ACORN or ROSI - http://www.acorn.utoronto.ca/http://www.acorn.utoronto.ca/  ACORN: UTORid and password  ROSI: Student Number and PIN (Birthdate – YYMMDD format at your first visit)  spend some familiarizing yourself with ACORN

5 ACORN services 5  View/update address, telephone number, e-mail address  View financial account information and print invoices  Enter bank information for direct deposit of award funds and refunds  Request/Drop courses and view status of courses  View academic history  Order transcripts  Plus, plus…

6 Becoming Registered 6  Logon to ACORN to review and print your invoice  fees assessed and billed to student accounts late July  Fee payments are made at your financial institution  by internet or telephone banking, or in person at your bank  Allow enough time for your payment to be received by U of T  Review your payments in ROSI  DLSPH Master’s Scholarship funds will be deposited to your student account. Other awards may be paid to the student (Fall installments)  Tuition fee deferral :  PhD students (funded cohort) or OSAP recipients - fees can be deferred in ACORN  Non-cohort PhD and Master’s award holders – submit a ‘Register without Payment’ form http://www.fees.utoronto.ca/site4.aspx

7 Course Enrolment  Determine your program requirements  program specific courses  information on website and during orientation  talk to your Program Director  CHL5004H: Introduction to Public Health Sciences  Review Timetable and Course Database on the website: http://www.dlsph.utoronto.ca/students/current-students/timetables/ http://www.dlsph.utoronto.ca/course-database/ http://www.dlsph.utoronto.ca/students/current-students/timetables/ http://www.dlsph.utoronto.ca/course-database/  Logon to ACORN to Request your courses  all course enrolments made through the ACORN are added as Requests to be Approved by the Graduate Office  Your courses will appear in Blackboard after they are Approved  To enrol in non-DLSPH courses:  Try to request the course in ROSI  Contact host department and complete and submit Add/Drop form 7
