2 H1N1, WHAT IS IT? Respiratory disease caused by Type A influenza viruses. Caused by Human to Human interaction. And people may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their nose or mouth. The symptoms of H1N1 flu in people are similar to seasonal human flu and include: Fever, Cough, Sore Throat, Runny Nose, Bodyaches, Headaches, Chills, and Fatigue. Some people have also reported nausea, diarrhea and vomiting associated with the H1N1.

3 H1N1, RESPIRATORY SYSTEM? Mainly affects the upper respiratory system. Lack of oxygen results in dehydration which might create problems with the kidneys and urinary and fluid balances.

4 H1N1, CAUSE? Swine flu is contagious, it spreads in the same way as the seasonal flu. When people who are infected with swine flu cough or sneeze, they release tiny droplets containing the virus into the air. Anyone who comes in contact with these droplets or touches a surface (such as a doorknob or sink) that an infected person has recently touched can catch H1N1 swine flu.

5 H1N1, TREATMENT The best treatment for influenza infections in humans is prevention by vaccination. If you have H1N1, YOU should stay at home and keep away from work, school or crowds; rest and drink a lot of water. Clean Clean Clean. Go take some medicine and sleep.

6 H1N1, PHARMACOLOGY Oseltamivir (Tamiflu®). (taken orally) Zanamavir (Relenza®). (inhaled) These medications, which require a doctor’s prescription, are known as antivirals. They can prevent severe illness by helping your body combat influenza viruses. Who should take the medicine? -People over 65 or under 2 years of age -Pregnant women -People with chronic lung problems, such as asthma or emphysema -People with chronic heart, kidney, liver or blood disorders -People with neurological disorders that can cause breathing problems -People with diabetes -People whose immune systems are weakened due to illness or medication -People under 18 years who are on long-term aspirin therapy 오셀타미비르 자나미비어

7 H1N1, PROGRESSION You will cough, sneeze, vomit, and you will have some severe headache and sore throat. H1N1 will affect your upper respiratory system and that can cause severe damage to your body.
