A region is an area of land that has a unifying characteristic (climate, land, population, history, economics).
Geographers use regions to make comparisons.

6. Regions in Asia
There are five (5) regions in Asia – not including Siberia (Russia)!
East
Central
Southeast
South
Southwest (The Middle East)
