PIDF Purpose To drive, through regional and national frameworks, transformative changes by focusing exclusively on the sustainable and inclusive development of the PICs by: accelerating the integration of the three pillars of sustainable development to balance the pursuit of economic growth against the needs of societies and the sustainability of the environment; and facilitating the use of tools and innovations such as green economy, adaptive leadership, and genuine partnerships to stimulate robust debate while fostering an inclusive change agenda that address the root causes of unsustainable development practices. Output (c): Genuine, equitable and durable partnerships in place that support green-blue economies Activities: 1.Serve as the Pacific regional counterpart for the South-South groupings and other regional and international arrangements that focus exclusively on the sustainable development of Developing States and territories 2.Support the establishment of national bodies and counterparts to promote PIDF approaches at the national level 3.Work with and through regional partners including CROP agencies to promote green-blue economy approaches in the Pacific 4.Partner with IUCN, MSG, CROP, the private sector and others to support the participation of members in the post 2015 development agenda 5.Initiate discussions with relevant CROP, UN and MFIs to discuss economic and financial reforms necessary for green-blue economy 6.WWF partnership on Pacific Regional Business-Business and Pacific Regional Fishers Forum 7.Formalise MOUs and MOAs with key partners on development cooperation Work Program 15
